River Edge, New Jersey 2012 5K – Healthwalk – Fun Run

The Susan Fazio Foundation for Melanoma Research and the Melanoma Programs of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York University are working together to raise money for research to fight melanoma by participating in the April 21st Run 5K and Healthwalk in River Edge, New Jersey.

You do not have to run or walk on the 21st to join our fight. We encourage families and friends to create fundraising pages IN MEMORY OF someone who battled against melanoma or IN HONOR OF someone who is fighting melanoma today or is a survivor. The name of the person you memorialize or honor will be listed on a special Susan Fazio Foundation t-shirt given out on the 21st and will be listed permanently on the Foundation's website.

If you are a runner or walker we also encourage you to participate and to create a fundraising page to raise money for melanoma research and to get an awareness message out to more people. (We welcome your volunteering on the 21st or your donation as well.)

FUNDRAISING PAGE DETAILS

1. We ask that you set a fundraising goal of a minimum of $1,000.
2. For help in writing your appeal or adding a photograph, contact us at faziofoundation@earthlink.net
3. Your page can be set up whether you run-walk or not.
4. For your efforts, we will print the name of the deceased or survivor on the back of a special Susan Fazio Foundation t-shirt which we will give out on the 21st to anyone donating $25 or more.
5. We will permanently list the person on the Fazio Foundation’s website.
6. Once you set up your page, email everyone you know and ask them to go to your page and make a donation.

  • Day of Race Registrants will receive T-Shirts while supplies last
  • Special Susan Fazio Foundation T-Shirts will also be available for donors of $25 or more to a Firstgiving fundraising page.
